DEGS Shooters on the firing line

35 rounds per relay, two relays per match, one match on the third Saturday of the month from March to December. CMP achievement pins awarded at each match, and every year at our awards banquet, we recognize high scorers in Garand, other vintage, and modern military categories.

We encourage new shooters to come out and try a match, and we will loan you everything you'll need. Just drop us a line before the match date and we'll get you set up.

About our matches

No need to join the club to participate in a match or clinic, and you may shoot any safe rifle that allows you to follow the course of fire. We have two relays on each match day, so most first-timers learn the ropes by shadowing the first one and shooting in the second.

How to join

DEGS clinics usually happen in February or March, prior to the first match of the year.

We start every season with an in-depth shooting clinic, and we have experienced shooters who will help you out with your marksmanship at every match.

Tips for shooting offhand

M1 Garand Raffle Winner

Every year since our founding in 2009, we have awarded an M1 Garand to one of our club members by random drawing. What do you have to do to enter? Shoot in at least five relays in that year!

Our Garand raffles

Ready to shoot in a match? Join the club and get in that M1 Garand raffle? Or just come out and observe? Shoot us an email to arrange for loaner equipment or if you have any questions. Or drop by on match day to hang out and get a feel for what we are all about.
