Welcome to 2022! We will kick off our 2022 season with our annual clinic on March 12. This year the clinic will be presented at the Calico Hunt Club located at 5053 Smithfield Road Vanceboro. The club house in on the left shortly after turning off of Leary Mills Road. Attendees may bring their rifles if they desire, however, absolutely no live ammunition will be permitted inside the clubhouse.

Our annual clinic will cover the basics of marksmanship and competitive shooting, safety and scorekeeping. New shooters and seasoned veteran shooters can both take something away from the clinic that will improve their scores on the range.

The doors for the clinic will open at 8:00 am and the clinic will begin at 8:30 am Saturday March 12, 2022.

We ask that all attendees RSVP no later than March 10, so that we will have an accurate estimate of who will be in attendance.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Our bonus match this year will be next Saturday, June 29. The match will be a CMP Military and Police service pistol match. We will have two classes of competitors for this match, the as-issued class and the outlaw class. To enter the as-issued class, pistols must be semi-automatic, practical or suitable for issue as a military or police service pistol and meet the following requirements:

We will hold our annual marksmanship clinic on 17 February at the Pig Palace (7254-7318 NC-43, Ayden, NC 28513). The clinic is intended primarily for new and itermediate shooters as an introduction to competitive shooting, and especially to the kind of match DEGS hosts each month. A few of the topics you can expect to cover:

Looks like the weather is not our friend this weekend. Due to a chance of steady rain hovering around 80 to 90 percent all morning, we're going to have to cancel tomorrow's match.

Our next match will be held on 8 April (the 2nd Saturday of the month instead of the usual 3rd Saturday) to avoid any possible conflict with Easter weekend. Hope to see you there!

Remember, if you're interested in one of those gorgeous, personalized insulated mugs, drop us a line and we will set you up with one.

Great news: we have secured the Pig Palace as the location for the classroom portion of the clinic. We will open the doors there at 7:30 to begin registration, and the class will kick off at 8am. We will spend about two hours in the classroom before moving over to the range for about two hours of live fire.

The Pig Palace is only about a mile up the road from the range, and is located here.

The clinic will be this Saturday, 18 February, and there is still time to sign up. Contact us if you are interested!
